Exterior Lighting
Interior Lighting | Exterior Lighting | Garage Lighting
The light levels required by the Building Code to illuminate the exterior of a multi-residential facility are actually quite low.
The majority of the fixtures installed in exterior applications contain high intensity discharge (HID) lamps and magnetic ballasts. Whether the lighting source is high-pressure sodium or metal-halide, a pole lamp usually consumes 150-watts or more. The reduction of existing wattages is possible through the use of more efficient technologies.
Another way to save money when considering outdoor lighting is to install
exterior lighting controls and timers to ensure that lighting is used to
provide safe and efficient illumination.
